Woods’ gal Lindsey Vonn doubtful over recovering in time for 2014 Sochi Olympics
London – American golf star Tiger Woods’ girlfriend Lindsey Vonn is still doubtful over her recovery from injury in time for the Winter Olympics, which will begin in Sochi on February 7 next year.
The American Olympic downhill champion, who was sidelined for seven months after rupturing cruciate knee ligaments in February, had partially torn her ligaments in the same right knee while training last week.
According to the BBC, Vonn said that she would be racing next week if things go well for her, although she admitted that she would need to reassess and see if she can make a comeback for this season if she does not make a recovery.
Vonn, who also won downhill and Super-G gold at the 2009 World Championships in Val d’Isere, however, said that she is feeling stable and good from rehabilitation for she is hopeful of making a comeback to the game, although she added that she is out of options at this point.
