IPL 2014: Nathan Coulter-Nile may miss few games due to injury
Australian fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile may reportedly be out from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) for an extended period after injuring a hamstring during a match between his Delhi Daredevils and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The West Australian quick appeared to suffer the injury when diving to field a ball in the first over of the game at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday, which was won by CSK by a whopping 93 runs.
According to News.com.au, Coulter-Nile left the field straight away and did not return for the rest of the match and Delhi’s acting skipper Dinesh Karthik said that he expected that the player to be ‘out for some time’.
CSK now sit in third place on the IPL ladder with a 1-1 record, while the Daredevils occupy sixth place with a 1-2 record.
Chennai will next meet the Shane Watson-led Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, while Delhi will face David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, the report added.
