Ferguson says `backroom harmony` key for Moyes to turn things around at Man U
London – Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has told boss David Moyes that club’s backroom harmony is the key to success and to turn things around after a horror season start.
According to the Mirror, Ferguson claims Moyes must make sure all his staff members are singing the same tune, no matter how bad it is.
Moyes is struggling to follow the former manager at Manchester United and has lost three of his seven Premier League games in the champions’ stuttering defence of their title, the report said.
The United manager has been questioned for clearing out Ferguson’s successful backroom team to bring his own people with him from Everton, the report added.
Ferguson says the key for Moyes, and any other manager, is to ensure all his coaching staff share his vision for the club, the report further said.
He said that three things were very important when someone was working with them, work ethic, loyalty and philosophy, adding that his attitude to a game of football was to never give in and even if at half time, the team is behind, one should never give in.
