Cheryl Cole set to make X Factor UK comeback following 1.4mln-pound payback
London – Cheryl Cole is set to make a comeback into UK ‘X Factor’ after receiving 1.4 million pounds payback from the American version of the show.
The 30-year-old singer, who was ditched from the American version, had sued Blue Orbit for 1.4 million pounds for loss of earnings, the Daily Star reported.
Cole’s spokesman confirmed the news by saying that the former Girls Aloud star’s dispute with Blue Orbit has been resolved amicably.
The legal papers had earlier revealed that Cole was promised a 1.1-million-pound salary for the first series and another 1.2 million pounds for a further second series.
The singer had said that she was paid for the first series, but not the second.
Cole had also claimed that she wasn’t paid expenses including a 61,000 pounds wardrobe allowance, a 15,000 pounds stylist allowance, a 1,530 pounds monthly living allowance and 9,200 pounds a month for a hotel or apartment in Los Angeles.
