Beckham reveals Victoria helped him through `dark days of WC death threats`

London – England football legend David Beckham has revealed how his wife Victoria helped him through the dark days of World Cup death threats when he became the most hated man in Britain.

According to Metro.co.uk, the dad of four had to endure death threats and watch on as effigies of him self were torched by incensed football fans after he was sent packing with a red card during England’s heart-wrenching loss to Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.

Beckham revealed that living through that was really difficult, adding that it was hard for him to talk about it on camera, adding that it was a difficult time not just for him as an individual but also for his family.
