Clarke hoping to create history by leading Oz to win in his 100th Test at Perth
London – Australian captain Michael Clarke has expressed hope of winning the Perth Test, as he prepares for his 100th Test.
Clarke said that there is a lot of excitement surrounding the Test, already 2-0 up in the series adding that it is going to be a tough match.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the middle-order batsman said that pitch at the WACA has similar characteristics to the Gabba, which makes it a good cricket wicket, before adding that starting innings there can be harder than most other places because of the extra pace and bounce.
He said that one of the great things about the first two Tests was the amount of support the team received.
Clarke, nicknamed ‘Pup’ said that he has played in a number of Perth Tests which have finished inside four days but they have been exciting and challenging matches.
As this Test will mark Clarke’s 100th Test, he said that it is going to be even more special for him adding that it will also be England captain Alastair Cook’s 100th Test, the report added.
