Yuvraj Singh knew he wouldn’t make World Cup squad: Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar said he wasn’t surprised that 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh has not been picked for the 2015 ICC World Cup. The former Test opener said Yuvraj was given the signal that he would not make it when in December 2014, the BCCI selectors named the 30 probables for the tournament. Gavaskar felt Yuvraj still had the chance of returning to the Indian team if he kept scoring big hundreds in domestic cricket. Gavaskar was happy with the composition of the 15-man squad and said batting will be India’s main strength but the bowlers will have to well for India to retain the trophy.
