After Agra and Aligarh, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad converts over 100 tribal Christians in South Gujarat’s Valsad District. As the controversy over forced religious conversions rages, BJP President Amit Shah says the government is ready to bring an anti-conversion law but dares the ‘so-called secular’ Opposition parties to support such a law. This comes a day after Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat strongly defended the current controversial campaign of the Sangh Parivar. Does India need an anti-conversion law and if implemented, will it apply equally to all religions?
