Israel’s prime minister has declared victory in the Gaza war against Hamas, saying a cease-fire deal gave nothing to the Islamic militant group. Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday that “Hamas was hit hard” during the seven weeks of fighting. (Aug. 27)
