Brutal hunting of the endangered Olive Ridley turtles unabated in Orissa (Aired: March 2005)

Poaching of endangered animals like the tiger and Olive Ridley turtles continues as a dangerous trend across India threatening their extinction. On Safari India we visit the coastal areas of Orissa where the Olive Ridley turtles, considered endangered, come to nest. Here we witness sheer cruelty displayed by the fisher folk in killing these animals and the state administration seems callous towards this trend. (Audio in Hindi)
