Vinod Kumar Binny alleges Aam Aadmi Party wants Delhi govt to fall, meets Lt Guv
New Delhi – Expelled Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Vinod Kumar Binny on Monday said that his party wants the Delhi government to collapse so that it is saved from fulfilling the promises, which it made to voters prior to assembly elections.
“Now, that the AAP government is not able to fulfill its promises, it is now trying that the Delhi government should collapse,” Binny said.
Binny made the statement while talking to reporters after meeting Lt Governor Najeeb Jung today.
He apprised the Lt Governor of the ongoing situation and also talked about the alleged misbehaviour of Law Minister Somnath Bharti with Ugandan women during the midnight raid that took place in Khirki Extension in South Delhi recently.
“Lt Governor has assured that due action will be taken against those who have violated the law, irrespective of their positions,” he added.
Due to start his fast at the Jantar Mantar today, the rebel ex-AAP leader had been criticising his party and the Delhi government for failing to fulfill the promises made in the election manifesto, including water and power sectors.
He claims to have the support of 3-4 AAP MLAs, who are supporting his agitation against the Delhi government.
However, the AAP leadership has been claiming that Binny has rebelled from the party after he was denied a ministerial berth in the Delhi Cabinet.
