Seven killed after SUVs collide in Telangana
Seven persons were killed in a ghastly road accident when two SUVs collided near Kommireddipally village in Addakal police station limits of Mahabubnagar district on Tuesday morning.
According to Addakal police, the accident occurred when a Tavera vehicle bound for Nanded in Maharashtra lost balance and hit the road divider and rammed into an Innova going in the opposite direction on NH-44.
Six persons travelling in the Tavera died on the spot while another passenger of the Innova too died instantaneously. The victims from Maharashtra were returning to their native place after a pilgrimage to Tirupati.
Police said the Innova with Kerala vehicle registration was going towards Bangalore. Identity of the seven victims is not yet known. The two vehicles were badly damaged in the mishap.
Kothakota Inspector D.Kishan and Addakal SI M.Venkateshwarlu rushed to the spot and removed the bodies from the badly mangled ill fated vehicles and sent them for post-mortem to District Headquarters Hospital at Mahabubnagar.
A case has been registered.
