The Congress is launching its Lok Sabha election campaign from Ahmedabad in Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah with a meeting of its Congress Working Committee (CWC) and a public rally by its top leaders.
“Think and decide – those who talk big in front of you, where are the jobs he promised? What about the Rs. 15 lakh he promised? What about women’s safety?” the 47-year-old Congress general secretary said.
“Those who talk about fitrat (nature), the fitrat of this country is that the winds of hate will be blown away by love.”
Priyanka Gandhi’s first ever political rally followed her debut in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting earlier today.
Speaking at the rally in Gandhinagar, Priyanka Gandhi said, “This is the first time I have come to Gujarat. This was the first time I went to Sabarmati Ashram. I cannot express the feeling of what transpired in my heart while sitting under those trees, listening to those bhajans.”
