Lookout notice against Asaram’s son Narayan Sai
Surat – Surat police issued a lookout notice against self-styled godman Asaram’s son Narayan Sai on Monday in a sexual assault case. The lookout notice was issued as police fear Sai may escape abroad, reports said. Fresh sexual assault complaints were registered against Asaram and his son on Sunday after two sisters accused the duo of abusing them.
Sai has been booked for sexual assault, illegal confinement and other charges.
“We have registered two complaints, one against Asaram and another against Narayan Sai of sexual assault, illegal confinement and other charges,” Surat Police commissioner Rakesh Asthana had said.
The older sister in her complaint has accused Asaram of sexual assault, while the younger one filed a complaint against his son. The incidents reportedly happened between 2001 and 2006.
The complaint against Sai has been registered at Jhangirpura police station in Surat while the case against his father Asaram has been transferred to Ahmedabad, where the alleged incident took place.
Asaram, 75, was arrested in August on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl and has been in prison at Jodhpur in Rajasthan since then.
