Former Diplomat slams Omar for linking border tension with calling off talks with Pak
Former Indian Diplomat Rajiv Dogra on Monday slammed Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for ‘linking shelling of border villages by Pakistan to the calling off of the foreign secretary-level talks with Pakistan.
Dogra alleged that Omar is trying to cover up his inaction during his tenure by such statements and this would only lower the morale of Army and people along the borders.
He also said that ceasefire violations by Pakistan have increased recently and that Indian Army should take adequate actions in advance and should not waste any time whatsoever.
Dogra alleged Omar of failing to ‘do something’ for his people. “Omar has completely failed during his tenure of six years and to cover up his failures he used to beat the drum of AFSPA revocation.”
“Whenever there was any problem in J&K Omar used to demand the AFSPA revocation,” Dogra said adding “does Omar want India to surrender before Pakistan.”
