“It is true that Omicron is very contagious” the UP Secretary admitted when speaking to reporters aout concerns aout a third wave of the pandemic. “However it is also true that compared to the second wave the Omicron variant is weaker and comparale to a simple viral fever.”

“Safety precautions are necessary to deal with any epidemic” he added. “And in this case protective measures are also needed. But theres no need to panic.

Speaking of the Delta variant of the coronavirus which was common in India in March-April 2021 and is elieved to e responsile for the majority of the deadly second wave of the pandemic Yogi said at the time.
