Australia visit will be special, historic: PM Narendra Modi
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that his visit to Australia this month would be both “special and historic”.
The Prime Minister is travelling to Australia to attend the G20 Summit, which Modi tweeted “is a great platform to showcase opportunities India has to offer to the world”.
“I look forward to working with G20 leaders on important issues concerning the world, particularly those relating to the global economy.”
Modi said his Australia visit “is both special and historic” and that it would be the first bilateral visit to Australia by an Indian prime minister in 28 years.
“In Australia, I will meet the country’s top leadership and am honoured to have been given an opportunity to address the Australian parliament.
“I am also eagerly looking forward to interacting with the Indian community in Australia.”
