Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP to share daily photos of garbage in city with 3 mayors
Taking forward its initiative for cleanliness, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said it would daily send photographs of garbage and litter in the various areas of Delhi to the mayors of the three municipal corporations in the national capital.
The party said that it would further update the status of the photographs uploaded on its website by Delhiites by contacting them later to find out whether their grievance was addressed by civic officials.
“The party will now send photographs of the ground situation to the three mayors of the municipal corporations in Delhi on a daily basis,” AAP said.
The party website will update the status of the uploaded photographs by contacting the citizens who post these to find out whether MCD has addressed their grievance.
“People can send their responds to WhatsApp using any of the options, ‘cleaned/not cleaned/don’t know’ on 8588833540,” said an AAP spokesperson.
The party said it is also planning regular dialogue with the public and collective bodies, particularly Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), so that suggestions can be provided to MCD regarding garbage disposal in Delhi.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his Swachh Bharat campaign, AAP, too, said it would start a cleanliness drive in the national capital on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on Oct. 2.
