20 feared killed as Maoists attack CRPF team in Chhattisgarh

NEW DELHI: Around 20 people are feared killed after Maoists attacked a CRPF search party in Chhattisgarh, according to Times Now.

The Maoists attacked a joint team of CRPF and police personnel in Jhiram Ghati on Tuesday morning, the reports say.

The attack took place at around 10.30am in the morning and the encounter is still on, according to Chhattisgarh Police.

Additional security forces have been rushed to the spot.

According to reports, the place is not far away from where the Congress leaders were attacked in the state.
