Xinjiang government calls for suspects to come forward
Beijing : The death toll from Thursday’s terrorist attack in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has risen to 39, with a total of 94 wounded.
Authorities in the region issued a statement on Saturday, calling for the people involved in the attack to come forward. The statement said that all those involved in terrorist activities and violence, will get a reduced punishment if they surrender within 30 days.
The statement also encouraged the public to provide information about terrorist suspects or suspected terrorist activities.
