Train accident in Indonesia, Five killed
Train derailed after hitting mounds of mud caused by landslides following torrential rain buried part of the tracks at a dark junction in heavy downpour landslide in central Indonesia.
Landslides incurred by heavy downpours caused a train derailed in Tasikmalaya of West Java killing five people, official said in Jakarta.
The accident took place when Malabar train en-routing West Java to East Java was passing Kampung Terung Village at 18:30 p.m. Jakarta time, said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of national disaster agency.
“Three carriages derailed and five others remained on the rails. Three corpses have been evacuated, but two others remained trapped in the carriages,” he told
