Pope Francis says Church won’t be `progressive` in allowing abortion

Washington – Pope Francis has reportedly said that the Catholic Church will not be ‘progressive’ to abandon its views about the morality of abortion.

Francis said hat no matter how much the Catholic Church modernizes and changes, it is not forward thinking to try to resolve problems by eliminating a human life.

According to Newsmax, Francis’ view stands in stark contrast to the position some Catholic liberals in America have taken on the matter, like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who defends a woman’s right to abortion.

The Pope further added that the practice of abortion violates the principle of human rights and the Church, therefore, cannot change its position on the matter, the report added.
