heavy Rains cause death 40 in Pakistan

Pakistani officials said heavy monsoon rains have killed 40 people across the country as the government warned of more flash flooding over the weekend.

Ahmad Kamal, a spokesman for the National Disaster Management Authority, said on Friday that 13 people died when roofs collapsed in Lahore the previous day.

The rains triggered landslides that killed six civilians and three soldiers in PoK on Thursday.
