Four killed, 56 injured in suicide bomb attack in Pakistan
Peshawar: At least four persons were killed and 56 others injured today when a suicide bomber targeted a vehicle of a line officer in Pakistan’s restive northwestern tribal region, officials said.

The bomber blew himself up when the vehicle came out from the office of the tribal police in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency bordering Afghanistan, killing four persons including two line officers, they said.
At least 15 security personnel were among 56 injured. As many as 25 injured were taken to Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar, where state of emergency had already been declared. Others were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Jamrud is located 25 kms from Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The security forces cordoned off the area and mounted the search operation in the area.
