‘Fake’ interpreter at Mandela memorial claims to have exposed system

London – The controversial sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service has said he is a “great fake” who exposed the South African government.

Thamsanqa Jantjie spoke about his controversial hand gestures at Mandela’s memorial in a video posted online, in which he is speaking to a group of unidentified men, repeatedly saying that he is going to expose what is going on in the government and the system, Mirror.co.uk reports.

Jantjie was criticised for his controversial interpretations of the speeches of President Barack Obama and other world leaders.

However, he later claimed he had suffered a schizophrenic episode in which he had “seen angels and heard voices”.
