Noel Gallagher: Miley Cyrus embarrassing
London – Singer Noel Gallagher finds Miley Cyrus embarrassing and says that her outrageous acts cast a shadow on female artists.
He isn’t impressed by the “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker and says she should channel her energies into writing a good song rather than dressing provocatively and twerking.
“I think there is a trend, unfortunately, in the game, at the minute, of girls desperately trying to be provocative or desperately trying to – in inverted commas – ‘start the debate’ about some old sh*t or other,” rollingstone.com quoted Gallagher as saying.
“Because, really, they are not very good. We have it ! in England regularly, and you have it in the States.
“I feel bad for them. It is like, ‘Write a good song. Don’t make a provocative video – write a good f**king song.’ That will serve you better, I think … It is a shame, because it puts all the other female artists back about f**king five years,” said the 46-year-old.
After watching one of Cyrus’s many performances on TV, he said: “It is just embarrassing. Be good. Don’t be outrageous. Anybody can be outrageous!”
