Adam Sandler tops Forbes` `Most Overpaid Actors 2013` list
New York – Adam Sandler has topped the list of Forbes Magazine’s The Most Overpaid Actors of 2013 list.
According to the publication, the ’50 First Dates’ star’s film, ‘Jack & Jill’ grossed 150 million dollars, while the film cost an estimated 80 million dollars to make and the actor was paid 15 million dollars.
Forbes Magazine said that for every dollar Sandler was paid on his last three movies, the films returned an average of 3.40 dollars.
Katherine Heigl, who made an average return of 3.50 dollars for every dollar she was paid, has secured the second position on the list, followed by Reese Witherspoon with an average of 3.90 dollars return for every 1 dollar.
The magazine came up with the list by using the data gathered from their Celebrity 100 research and Box Office Mojo to calculate how much each star’s last three films earned at the box office per dollar of pay in average.
