ith the festive season just around the corner, airlines seem to be pulling out all stops to woo flyers and with its latest discount Jet Airways may have set its sights on low cost rival AirAsia that presently operates primarily out of Bengaluru .

Jet Airways today announced nine-day special fare offers on economy tickets for travel to and from Bengaluru, coinciding with the start of the Navratri season. The fares are available on flights to Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Jaipur and Chandigarh.

The tickets are on sale from 22 September, 2014 to 5 October, 2014 and are valid for travel from 15 January, 2015 on domestic flights, according to a company press release. The sale is not applicable on group bookings and available on 1st come 1st serve basis.

Here’s a look at the fares that start at Rs 600, exclusive of taxes.

Jet’s move is just the latest in a slew of discounts being offered by various airlines across India.

Earlier this month, Jet unveiled a first-of-its-kind offer that slashed business class rates substantially across sectors. The scheme was available for fliers on domestic routes besides those flying to international destinations like Singapore, London, Toronto, Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong and Dammam. However, the offer wass not available on Jet flights in and out of the airline’s Abu Dhabi gateway

Prior to that, Jet Airways announced fares starting at Rs 499 on domestic routes.
