Sensex trades flat during pre-noon trade
Mumbai – A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 47.43 points or 0.23 percent up during the pre-noon trade Thursday.
All the sectors were trading in green. Good buying was observed in capital goods, consumer durables, auto and healthcare sectors.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 21,051 points, was trading at 21,080.14 points in the pre-noon session, up 47.43 points or 0.23 percent from the last trading day’s close at 21,032.71 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 21,102.22 points, and a low of 21,051 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE capital goods index gained 88.61 points, consumer durablesindex moved up by 70.88 points, auto index increased by 61.72 points and healthcare index went up by 55.40 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 11.50 points or 0.18 percent and was trading at 6,279.90 points.
