The funeral service for Defense Chief Bipin Rawat and his wife Madulik Rawat, who killed 13 people in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, is held today at the Bra Square Crematorium in Delhi’s state.

Here are 9 points.
1)      Interior Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to General Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat at their residence, Kamraj Marg, 3. 00-12:30 ANI News reported. Soldiers can pay tribute from 12:30 to 13:30.

2)      The bodies of General Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat are taken to the crematorium at 14:00. There, the General will be given a funeral with full military honours.

3)      The funeral of Brigadier Lakhwinder Singh Lidder, defence assistant to General Rawat and another victim of the chopper crash, was held at Delhi Cantonment today.

4)      Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Haryana Chief Minister M L Khattar paid their respects to Brigadier Lidder

5)      The bodies of General Rawat, his wife and the defence personnel killed in the clash were flown in from Sulur in Tamil Nadu last night.

6)       On their arrival at Palam air base in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and top officials of the defence services paid them tributes.

7)      General Rawat and 12 people on board an Mi17 V5 helicopter were on their way to the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington when the crash took place. Team Captain Varun Singh,

8)      the sole survivor of the crash, was taken to Bangalore Air Force Command Hospital for treatment. As of

9)      the bodies of General Rawat and his wife, Brigadier General Lance and Lance Nike Vivek Kumar have been identified. The military said it was in the process of identifying other bodies.
