Air India brings back passengers stranded at Budapest
Air India on Friday pressed into service two of its India bound international flights to bring back passengers stranded at Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The flights arrived in Mumbai and Delhi late in the afternoon, Air India officials said.
Last night Air India flight AI 130 from London to Mumbai with 225 passengers on board was diverted to Budapest due to technical reasons. The aircraft had landed in Budapest safely.
“Two Air India flights- AI142 from Paris to Delhi and AI 120 from Frankfurt to Delhi landed in Budapest to bring back the passengers. While one flight flew in Delhi-bound passengers from Paris and Frankfurt, the other aircraft transported the Mumbai-bound passengers from London. Both the flights landed this afternoon,” Air India officials said.
“Air India showed exemplary alacrity and resource management skills when it rerouted two of its international flights to bring back passengers promptly from Budapest,” Air India said in a statement.
