Ebola death toll passes 3,000 in West Africa: WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that more than 3,000 people have died as a result of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
According to reports, there are more than 6,500 people who have been infected by the deadly virus.
Liberia is the worst affected country wherein 1,830 deaths have been reported.
According to the BBC, in the last seven days, two new areas in Guinea and Liberia have also been reportedly affected.
Some studies warn that the number of cases could rise to at least 20,000 by November.
The epidemic has made it harder for the already weak healthcare to cope up with the situation.
