CSK rope in David Hussey to replace injured Dwayne Bravo
Chennai Super Kings have roped in Australian batsman David Hussey as replacement for the injured Dwayne Bravo, who has already been ruled out of the rest of IPL 7 due to injury.
Bravo did damage to this shoulder while trying to take a catch in the first match of the season in the UAE.
Chennai had not sought a replacement, but commentator and former Pakistan batsman Rameez Raja confirmed David’s appointment while talking to his elder brother Michael Hussey, who is playing for the Mumbai Indians this year. The junior Hussey had also tweeted: “Just recd some amazing news!!!!! Can’t wait until tomorrow…. Get in there!!!!”
Hussey, 36, has a lot of IPL experience under his belt having played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab previously. The Australia has played 59 IPL games, scoring 1206 runs at a strike rate of 122.93.
