New Delhi: Online marketplace eBay India on Thursday partnered with Delhi-based traders’ association Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), allowing local traders access to eBay’s online platform to help sell their products across domestic and international markets.
The local arm of the American company will give traders access to 201 countries and 4,306 locations.
“This will help create additional source of livelihood for them by enabling both retail exports of Indian goods and widespread national trade,” said Latif Nathani, managing director, eBay India, at a press conference held in New Delhi.CAIT represents 60 million traders across India who supply manufactured goods to retailers and consumers. For now, eBay will work with 100-200 such traders.
