Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal’s blue WagonR car, which had hogged lot of limelight during his tenure as Delhi Chief Minister, was attacked on Monday night when AAP Rohtak candidate Navin Jaihind was on a campaign trail. Kejriwal had given his car to Jaihind to help him campaign in the Rohtak constituency for the upcoming general elections.

On Monday night, some men attacked the car with iron rods. Jaihind, who was present in the car when the incident occurred, escaped unhurt.

Earlier, Jaihind had said that he did not own any car and when Kejriwal found this he offered his car to Jaihind and use it for campaign purpose until he arrange a car for himself.

Jaihind had driven to file his nomination papers in the same car, which is considered lucky for Kejriwal. Two times MP Deepender Singh Hooda, son of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has been Rohtak in the Lok Sabha.

Navin Jaihind, whose wife Swati Maliwal was a member of the Core Committee of India Against Corruption (IAC), has been closely associated with Kejriwal since 2007. Kejriwal had earlier publicly asked Jaihind to contest and give a tough fight to Hoodas in their strongholds.

The blue WagonR car, along with his attire, had become an identity for Jaihind. Kejriwal, even after becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi, moved around in his car and even while he was on dharna outside Rail Bhavan in early January, he had taken temporary refuge in the car owing to the chilling cold.
