Red Bull engineer fears too many restrictions on cars would harm F1
London – Red Bull engineer and its current chief technical officer Adrian Newey has warned that too many restrictions on cars will harm Formula One.
According to the Daily Express, Newey said that there is a danger that if the regulations continue to become ever more restrictive, then the sport would get to the point where the car is more or less designed by the rulebook.
Meanwhile, F1 will award a pole position trophy next year to the driver who qualifies fastest the most times during the season, the governing International Automobile Federation (FIA) recently announced.
The 2014 sporting regulations, posted on the FIA website, said that in the event of a tie the holder of the most second places would win, with a further countback until a winner emerges.
