China’s first probe Chang’e-3 safely lands on moon
China hails its lunar probe mission as complete success
Washington – China has successfully landed an unmanned spacecraft on the moon, joining the U.S. and Russia as the only nations to accomplish the feat, according to Chinese government.
The probe, called Chang’e-3, took 13 days to travel from the earth and is expected to launch a rover named Jade Rabbit to explore the moon and take soil samples, Fox News reported.
Reports suggested that China also plans more landings in the future.
