Evans blames Man U’s `lack of confidence` for `crisis situation` in PL
London – Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has admitted that the lack of confidence within the squad is stifling the club’s attacking players, according to reports.
According to the BBC, the Red Devils fell to consecutive home Premier League defeats for the first time since 2002 on Saturday, courtesy of their 1-0 loss to Newcastle United.
David Moyes’s side have failed to score in their last two matches at Old Trafford and Evans has confessed that their offensive play is suffering from the low morale brought about by below-par results, the report said.
He said that obviously the players have lost a bit of confidence in their play and that can be known with the kind of possession and creativity they are showing.
Evans added that United lacked a bit of sharpness in their passing in their last game as well.
