Islamabad – Former Pakistan fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz has reportedly requested Islamabad High Court Justice to take swift action in Shoaib Akhtar’s allegations against some players over match fixing.

The former player said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should constitute a high level commission to probe Pakistan cricket team’s dismal performance against Zimbabwe and the loss against South Africa in the third One Day International.

Sarfraz said that in the past Moin Khan was actively involved in match-fixing and he had also done that in the Indian Cricket League, when he was the manager of the Lahore Badshahs, The Nation reports.

He said that Akhtar had clearly mentioned before that he was aware of when and where Pakistan team throw matches adding that he also needs to be probed for keeping mum so long and not informing the PCB or ICC about the players.

According to the report, Sarfraz has the prime minister to immediately remove Najam Sethi from the PCB chairman post as he had no knowledge of running cricket affairs.

The former player added that he will appear before the High Court and provide proofs against former ICC president Ehsan Mani as betting was continued unabated in his tenure as well and recommended Mohsin Khan and Abdul Qadir for the top job.
