Woods’ gal Lindsey Vonn makes return to snow after `temporary setback` injury
Washington – Tiger Woods’ girlfriend and Olympic downhill racing champ Lindsey Vonn has made her return to snow after re-injuring her right knee in a recent training crash, according to a picture post on her Facebook page.
Vonn attached a picture of herself grinning on an empty slope, where she was probably free skiing, along with a Facebook post saying that it felt ‘awesome’ on her first day back on snow since her crash.
According to CBS News, although Vonn would be skipping the races in Beaver Creek this weekend, her good friend and rival skier Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany said that the two of them are planning to travel together to another competition in Lake Louise, Alberta next week.
Vonn had a training mishap in Copper Mountain nine days ago and partially tore a reconstructed ligament in her right knee, although she has termed the injury as a ‘temporary setback’ and said that nothing will keep her from picking herself and continuing to fight for her dreams.
