Yahoo to allow three months `sabbatical` to senior employees
Tokyo – Yahoo Inc. has reportedly announced that it will begin allowing senior employees leave for up to three months with one month’s pay.
The company officials said that the ‘sabbatical system’ is aimed at allowing employees to review their careers and working styles and boosting morale.
According to Japan Times, employees who have been with the company for at least 10 years will be able to take two to three months off and return to their original positions.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Japan employees have been allowed to accumulate up to 70 days of paid holidays and combine them with the sabbatical system so they can be paid throughout the three months, the report added.
