Women wait over a month before going makeup-free in front of new partner
New York – A new survey suggests that most women spend 40 minutes to get ready to see a new boyfriend, and many refuse go to bare-faced until they’ve been in the relationship for four weeks.
According to a British surveym, six out of 10 women surveyed would wait at least a month before showing their bare face to a new flame.
The survey of 2,000 single women conducted by UK high-street pharmacy and beauty store Superdrug revealed that “many women claim they feel far less attractive, less confident and more vulnerable without a full face of make-up,” the New York Daily News reported.
Sarah Sharp, Superdrug’s Head of Beauty said that many women consider going au natural in front of a new partner quite a serious step, as they are exposing themselves completely.
The survey also found that women spend at least 40 minutes getting ready to see a new boyfriend.
But it’s not just prospective partners that women are hiding from: 32 percent of the women surveyed “would hate for work colleagues to see them without make-up,” while 20 percent couldn’t face their boss sans slap.
And the trend isn’t confined to new relationships: almost a third of women surveyed (31 percent) “would hate to bump into an ex-partner” without any makeup on.
