Congress will get 140 seats in MP, says Kamal Nath
Chhindwara (Shikarpur) – Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath on Monday cast his vote and said the Congress will get 140 seats in Madhya Pradesh.
He took a dig at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan saying, “The BJP doesn’t have any other prominent face in their ranks, other than the Chief Minister. That’s why they have been showing his picture everywhere. And people have seen this face and know the artistry of the BJP,”
He also said the BJP claims to come in power everywhere, but still they lost elections in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
“ In MP Congress will get minimum 140 seats,” he said.
Polling in 227 assembly segments began at 8 a.m. and will continue till 5 p.m., while for three constituencies in naxal affected Balaghat district, it began at 7 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m. in the afternoon.
More than four crore sixty-four lakh voters will decide the fate of 2,583 candidates, including 200 women candidates.
Meanwhile, 552 companies of security forces and more than 40,000 home guard jawans have been deployed for smooth conduct of polls.
Two helicopters are keeping vigil in the naxal affected Balaghat and Singrauli districts.
